Back when I was posting a captioned story, I made each sim’s font one of the main colors in their outfit so that if you weren’t sure who was talking you would hopefully make the connection. Most people choose one dedicated color for each sim, so like white for their main sim always, yellow for any secondary sim on/off camera, then red, blue, green, and whatever other color for any other sims. You could go about this a number of ways. No names but a different font color for each sim. Use one font color for all sims but include the sim’s name at the beginning of each line. *pics are from a random scene in my story with some random dialogue slapped on top. To document the dialogue and make it clear who’s talking, there are a few methods you could try: It does make sense and this is the way A LOT of what I call gameplay-driven storytellers around here write their stories! I used to in the past and still do whenever I get hit with occasional inspo to post a little gameplay. Sims 4 melanin pack conflict with wicked whims how to#Who else does this? Any tips on how to start documenting my dialouge on screenshots and differentiating the character's? Thank you for coming to my crazy ted talk. I cannot write a scene and then create the screenshot I write based on how the gameplay goes based on an overall "theme" and then create dialogue from the photo. The problem is I'm a reactive writer (if that makes sense?). I am very visual, so I like using screenshots for inspiration. I’m going to play around with the formatting and everything on my site, so I can make sure there’s still enough white space between the lines, and that everything is easy to read, so don’t worry about any of that.īetween my ADHD and perfectionism, I'm on the struggle bus over here. So I want to train my brain to write in a way that brings everything to life without the need for visuals. ![]() On top of all that, my sim story writing is fun and I love it, but it’s also practice for my real writing since I have a bunch of goals related to that. I’ll only have to make/edit 4 for each scene vs 18). This should still give us what we love in terms of the visual aspect of the story, but imma be real with y’all, my motivation for shooting these full-blown scenes is at like 7% lol the game is broke and I’m a new kind of busy, so I want to get as much use out of my “story time” during my days as I can, and since that time is limited, I rather it be spent on the writing (since that’s where the actual story is-for me, anyway-and what I enjoy doing the most) and less on everything else required to get the pics the way I like them (like poses for ex. ![]() Okay, I’ve read everyone’s responses, and y’all gave me a lot to think about so with all that being said, I’ve made a decision!įor now, I’m keeping the pics, but the number will be greatly reduced I’m thinking maybe 3-5 from 15-20. I know it could use more description since I typically let the pics take care of that (since that’s what they’re there for, lol) but outside of that, what are y’all thinking? I’m trying to make some decisions over here. has somewhere between 15 and 20 pics (just to give an idea of what I mean). Would you still read or I guess enjoy the story without all the pics? Like, do you feel like it could stand on its own? Right now, each ep. Readers of Camilla’s story: Question for y’all. ![]()
